Prof. Anil Chuturgoon
Director

He is an Independent and Non-Executive Director of our Company. Dr. Chuturgoon is Professor and Head of Discipline of Medical Biochemistry in the School of Laboratory Medicine and Medical Sciences at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN), Durban South Africa. He is also currently the Dean of Research (acting) in the College of Health Sciences.He completed his BSc, BSc (Hons) and MSc degrees at the University of Natal He thereafter obtained his doctoral degree in toxicology and epigenetics from UKZN.
His research interests are in medical sciences, toxicology and applied biotechnology. He is focussed on determining biomarkers for disease using epigenetic markers such as microRNA and long non-coding RNA.He has been the recipient of several research grants. He is passionate about research and shaping young minds to think critically. He is a member several scientific associations (South African Association of Clinical Biochemists and South African Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology) and serves as editorial in Nature (Scientific Reports). He was a recipient of the Distinguished Teacher Award for excellence in teaching at the University of Natal. He is an NRF rated scientist and was placed in the top 30 UKZN researchers for 2016, 2017, and 2018. He has successfully supervised over 50 Masters and 27 doctoral students. He has over 115-refereed publications, 12 chapters in books and over 200 conference proceedings. at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, South Africa, and Post-doctoral Researcher in the School of Chemistry, College of Agriculture, Engineering & Science, KwaZulu-Natal University, Durban, South Africa. His industry experience includes roles such as Assistant Manager-R&D at Gennova Biopharmaceutical Ltd, Pune, India, and positions at Zydus Research Centre, Ahmedabad; Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, Mumbai, India; Lupin Labs, India; and ACBR, University of Delhi, Delhi, India.

She has a natural and outstanding flair for effective business management and customer engagement. Raj Lakshmi has demonstrable experience in developing client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions. She has been responsible for developing and executing key growth business strategies, tactics, and action plans required to meet sales targets. Throughout her career, she has successfully managed commercial roles.
