Message

“Believe to get an Achievement comes with trustworthy Attempts” and “The 1st HeriCure-V-UKZN: An International Webinar Conference on Impact of Natural Bioactive compounds for the treatment of Covid-19: Diagnostic Challenges and Futuristic Perspectives” have held during the pandemic and included accomplished speakers, academicians, researchers, industrialists and postgraduate students from across the world. This forum discussed the latest trends to deal with the pandemic. This pandemic taught mankind several lessons, viz., to be together, support each other and compassion. Many ideas were shared on improving our immunity and how to care for our environment. Globally, natural products have been acknowledged since ancient times via Ayurveda as a vital source of active ingredients in the treatment of diseases. Many of these extracts have been used both as prophylactic and therapeutic agents. This conference is dedicated to natural products drug discovery that plays an important role to develop the scientific evidence of these natural resources. We believe that this conference will help all of us to come to draw a scientific conclusion which can be sustained on the paradigm of time. The philosophy behind organizing this conference is to redefine the Ayurveda, natural and environmental products so that it can be fruitful to all beings.
“I wish all the best to all presenters and participants, let’s make World great again”

Background & Objective

To date, there are no specific vaccines or medicines for COVID-19, WHO

The COVID-19 pandemic worsened the global health crisis with the greatest challenge. The uncertainty and low predictability of COVID-19 has been threatening both the physical & amp; mental health of people globally especially in terms of emotions and cognition. All the countries are comprehensive as well as equitable and inclusive but no one country has been able to make progress in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals to control the pandemic. Immediate action is required to prepare, respond, and recover from this type of uncertainty. The natural products have been acknowledged for numerous years as a vital source of active ingredients in therapeutic agents. These are the natural bioactive components of many traditional medicines. Only natural products drug discovery plays an important role to develop the scientific evidence of these natural resources.

How will Covid-19 End?

The aim of this seminar is to assess the impact of COVID-19 at both the economic and healthcare systems as well as to evaluate the practices implemented to overcome this pandemic. It also aims to explore and co-develop the use of traditional natural products with modern techniques that are to be implemented.
